Our 2021-22 Winter Academy is here!
Our focus for this winters academy is around acquiring game specific skills whilst under pressure.
Head Coach Sean Hooper (ECB Level 4) will be leading the team of excellent coaches including Gary Bone.
Now in its 10th year, our winter academy has helped to develop a number of young players from Cornwall providing a fun learning environment where effort to improve is the vital ingredient which we require from the players.
We have a big emphasis on players developing their cricket whilst having fun and encourage athletic development which forms the basis of all sports skills not just cricket. From that we aim to develop all round cricketing skills from the basic disciplines to mental and tactical approaches to the game.
Who are they aimed at?
Small group of up to 16-24 good cricketers – County standard or very close to it – that want to really improve on in their game. Players will be grouped and sessions organised to keep them challenged throughout.
When and where are they?
The Under 12 Academy runs on Friday evenings from 4:30pm until 6:30pm at the Evolve Sport & Fitness Centre, Camborne College, starting on 15th October 2021. These run for 20 weeks with breaks during the school holidays.
The Over 12 Academy runs Friday evenings from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the Evolve Sport & Fitness Centre, Camborne College also starting on 15th October 2021. The total number of coaching hours is again 40.
What is the cost?
The total programme cost is £200 if payment is received before the course commences.
We are breaking this Academy in half with a more net focus after Christmas, therefore costs can be broken down if you would prefer into two 10 week blocks:
First 10 Weeks: £100
Second 10 Weeks After Christmas: £100
20 Weeks: £200
